Chevron’s Global and US Social Initiatives
Chevron contributes to the social well-being of the people who lives in the countries where Chevron does business. Chevron has donated more than $1.5 billion in social investments to local communities over the past 8 years. These social investments are meant to improve health, education and economic developments of the communities. Over the last 3 years, Chevron has invested more than $100 million in educational initiatives in the US. This support has helped more than 500,000 students throughout the US. Chevron works with nonprofit organizations to get this work done. The focus is STEM – science, technology, engineering and math.
Chevron helped more than 80,000 students in the states of California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.
Fuel Your Schools is a program offered by Chevron and DonorsChoose.org. This program makes it easier for public school teacher to obtain classroom resources through the help of the Public.
